got michael nomad's number entered.
mike was the roommate of the guy who fuckd with me back in kansas city, and then when i was in manly i went to nyc to meet him.  he's the one with the barber shop calld sweeny todd's at 183 christopher street.  he had a barber chair in the main room, gave pubic haircuts, and was generally a leatherette.  he hung around kids like caroline kennedy and that circle.  i also started working at the baths on st. marks. wow.  those memories are fleeting.  and so full of activity.  the drugs, the drugs .. the DRUGS.  dear God, if it got us a buzz, we were doin it.  but only the good stuff.  anyway, the whole memory came up because i was transcribing diaries and came across michael's number.  kinda remember running into him, but that was all.

michael nomad was the roommate of philip beard, who lived at 183 christopher street. they were responsible for when i came to new york back in the 70's. but i had run into michael walking up 8th avenue. he had opened a shop in chelsea. and was doing quite well - he always was a good hairdresser. and it was good to have met him after all these years.

limelight show

well, i sure remember this one.
was living with manny still after having come back from somewhere.  was it jersey?  i cant remember now.  anyway, um, ideal was that place right next door to this club GARAGE. and this was also the place that i walked the 4" ledge 5 stories up, drunker than a skunk, to get into the offices and sleep.  i also got busted up there with a trick, the kid i never thought i'd get, and a bunch of coke on the table.  the owner of ideal was some straightlaced jew and him and his son came walkin in the place one morning and busted me all naked and hungover.  and when i say hung over i mean, hung OHver.  needlesstosay, that was when my long gig at ideal ended.  i fucked up a good thing on this one.  i could have had it made had i played the good guy.  oh well.

on edit (3/31/10):
i've decided to reapply myself to hitchhiker. again. maybe it's the pot.

i was actually reading some of the pages. you know, i don't read my own material. i'll learn too much.

but i was going through things and wanted to know how far back in my life does this take us. this was supposed to be a biography, sorta. i didn't have any ghost rider, er i mean writer. but rider works. anyway, i saw that it went back as far as 86. recorded history. the other stories are jueswt memories, a trip down memory lane. hopefully i'll have half of it in writeable form. soon. i feel time iis once again running out.

so as we try to cover pre-86 years, i can only go back to periods i remember, and it would be memorized as if i were reading aloud. like navy year. no plural this time honey. i went in on halloweeen of 1980 til halloween of 81. and this should take me to pittsburgh i think. i would have to check billboard for sure.

i've mapped out the cities i've lived in. and the qualifiers for that one was only that i worked and slept in a certain municipality for at least 30 days. there are towns where i lasted only 4 days. orlando florida, pre-80 of course, but ya, orlando lasted only 4 days because i got there at the very end of bike week. and ooh, does that bring back memories. sandy beaches with vans dotted throughout. hot sweaty sex was usually on the menu for the day. ahhh, the good life. ;)
